COMPANY PROFILE
The company was founded in 1980 by Mr.Herman De Koker with a staff complement of only 11 employees. Max Power Services is situated on its own premises in AUREUS, the industrial area of Randfontein, Gauteng, since its inception.

MANAGEMENT TEAM
Herman de Koker qualified as Tool & Jig maker in 1957  and was employed by Consolidated Brass Foundry for 15 years until 1967 when he joined JCI as an Underground Pump fitter, Foreman and finally as an Apprentice Supervisor.
In 1976 he started his own business as a one man concern servicing all the above clients until 1980 when he formed this company and became Technical Director.
Herman has vast experience in the mining and engineering side of the Mining Industry in all its facets.
Pierre de Koker entered in December 1995 the company and as Managing Director in October 1999. He possessed a master degree in Technical Training of Engineering students. He is managing the company as well as the Marketing team, lead by Mariët van Zyl.
QUALITY ASSURANCE, ESTIMATING AND MARKETING TEAM
Abraham J Beukes, a N5 graduate is the quality assurance officer and estimator.
Along side J Beukes is Lucas Seete as the Safety Manager and Klaas Seete as Logistics Manager.
The Department is totally computerized and use the latest software package available.
PURCHASING DEPARTMENT
This department is managed by Lynette Kruger.
The stores are well managed by Jaco van Jaarsveld.
DRAFTING DEPARTMENT
A new Drafting and Design department was recently established and consist of AJ Beukes and Pierre de Koker.
ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT
The daily administration of the company is being taken care of by Tersia de Koker, which acts as bookkeeper and is assisted by Lynette Kruger and Vanessa Steyn.
MACHINE, BOILER, FITTER, STEAM WASH AND SHOT BLASTING DEPARTMENT
These departments are very well managed by Ben Dippenaar that joined the company in 1996. He has approximately 25 years in the engineering, mining and shaft sinking fields and holds various certificates on courses done in these areas.
Staff complement that ensures quality workmanship, consist of the following:
 o qualified boilermakers
o certified welders.
o qualified fitters and machinists.
o heavy duty drivers.
o store manager.
o artisan assistants.
o machine operators
Workshops consist of the following:
- Machine shop
- 2 x Boiler workshops
- Fitter and general repair workshop
- Wash bay and Shot blasting bay
It is company policy that unqualified assistants are continuously being trained on the job.
Our total staff complement is 60 people of which more than half have been employed with the company for more than 10 years.

Reconditioning of air operated Rock loaders as well as spares (fabricated by MAX POWER) - all to OME standards. The following machines are reconditioned: 215 Lenning, 21B Eimco, 630 Eimco, 26B Eimco, LM56 Atlas, LM70 Atlas & LM71 Atlas

Underground ore transport Hoppers. Building of new and reconditioning of various hoppers complete with wheel and buffer assemblies

Rolling stock - assembly of new and reconditioning of various types of hopper wheels. Surface and underground loco wheel assemblies. All machining of gears, shafts and tyres are done by Max Power Services workmanship. All mentioned wheels are also available on service exchange basis

Conveyances - building of new and reconditioning of various types and sizes of skips, cages and bridles as well as incline hoppers - all according
 to international specification and standards complete with a 10 year archive of jobs previously done

Conveyor pully's- new and repairs complete with polyurethane lagging done by ourselves

Underground loco's - complete new (5ton &10 ton), with controllers and batteries and repairs to various types

All types of general engineering supplies, rebuilding and fabricated services
Fully equipted Polyurethane Plant:
